Applications are reviewed on a seasonal basis; typically in the spring (March/April), summer (June/July), and late fall (October/November) months. As a result, there may be a delay of several months before you receive a response. Please rest assured that we have received your application. After review, you will receive an email from our current research fellow regarding New Member Orientation (NMO). Attendance at NMO is required for onboarding and official membership into CARE. Makeup dates will be offered if there are conflicts in scheduling.

We recognize the busy nature of our members. Time commitments will be expectedly less for residents, fellows, and faculty. For students, time commitment will vary depending on level of involvement within the community. At minimum, we ask that members put in the effort required to complete accepted tasks and contributions in order to facilitate an efficient research process. Most times, this results in a few hours per month of dedicated work. However, we respect that many of our members may need to take time off for obligations such as board exams or away rotations and simply ask for communication of their expected decrease in involvement.
