Kometh “Tony” Thawanyarat is a second-year medical student at the Medical College of Georgia. He is an Atlanta native, though his family is originally from Bangkok, Thailand and Taipei, Taiwan. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Georgia with a degree in Economics. His various research interests include microsurgery, gender-affirming surgery, breast surgery, cranio-facial surgery, quality improvement, and the economics of healthcare delivery. His hobbies include exploring different restaurants and cuisines, golfing, aviation, travel, and more recently, skeet shooting!
